EAO, a global leader for Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), offers customization options and value added services to improve the versatile and attractive Series 82, allowing it to satisfy the unique application needs of a variety of customers.
Series 82: Custom options and value-added services
Laser engraving is available with low minimum order requirements on all Series 82 switches. This permanent and precise marking technique allows for complex icons, precise logos, legends and detailed graphics. Customers can submit unique designs or select from EAO’s vast ISO library of industry accepted legends (per IEC 60417) such as the popular “power on/standby” symbol.
Additionally, EAO can add any industry accepted cable or connector to the pushbutton as specified by the customer to meet all end-user requirements.
The Series 82 pushbutton has been engineered to offer strength, versatility and style. It can withstand harsh, aggressive industrial use while remaining elegant enough to fit today’s stylish, ergonomic commercial environments.
Featuring an all-metal front, IK10 shock protection and IP67 sealing, this component is one of the most durable and rugged pushbuttons on the market. Extreme temperature fluctuations from -30°C to +70°C (-22°F to 158°F), or even humidity up to 85 percent, will not affect its reliability.
Safe and dependable operation combined with a variety of customization options make the Series 82 Pushbutton ideal for a variety of machinery sectors, particularly high-usage applications in exposed public areas such as vending machines, information terminals and access controls.
Key advantages of series 82 pushbuttons include:
- Vandal-resistant: Impact resistant to IK10, front protection up to IP67
- Voltage range up to 5A/250VAC (Gold-plated contacts available for low voltages and currents)
- Long service life: More than 1 million cycles of operation
- 16, 19, and 22.5mm diameter industry-standard mounting hole sizes
- Sunlight readable LED illumination in attractive dot or ring style versions
- Available with momentary or maintained action
- Smooth, tactile feel
The Series 82 pushbutton is UL, cUL and CE approved, with materials that adhere to RoHS guidelines, providing international assurance and hassle-free implementation to all types of applications.
